FDA’s DSCSADrug Supply Chain Management

To Our Dispensing Customers

The Drug Quality and Security Act (DQSA) establishes a national system for tracing pharmaceutical products through the supply chain and sets national licensing standards for wholesale distributors and third-party logistics providers. All entities in drug supply chain management – manufacturers, wholesale distributors, repackagers, and dispensers – have responsibilities to meet these requirements of the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).

“Beginning July 1, 2015, a dispenser shall not accept ownership of a product unless the previous owner prior to, or at the time of, the transaction provides transaction history, transaction information, and a transaction statement.” –Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA).

Med-Pro Distributors, LLC is proud to inform the dispensing community that we have partnered with a Third-Party logistics provider to allow for product tracing information to be captured and maintained by dispensers through a secure online portal, in accordance with the DSCSA.  Our cloud-based online portal will store Transaction Data with the ability to be captured and retrieved for a period no less than 6 years after the date of the transaction. Paper-based documentation compliant with the FDA/DSCSA will also be made available upon request.
